Holly Robinson
Holly Robinson, who joined the St Neots team earlier this year, is now Lead Nurse, overseeing the nursing team at all three sites.
She is an experienced practitioner and is looking forward to developing the team consisting of advanced clinical practitioners, nurses, healthcare assistants and paramedics.
She has managed staff before in her previous role as a district nurse, but this new role represents a step up in scope of work and responsibilities.
Holly, a community nurse practitioner, said, ‘Although I have not been here for long I really like the team and so, when the Lead Nurse role came up I thought I would give myself a challenge. It is a really good nursing team, everyone works really hard and helps each other out. It is about making sure that we have the right coverage at sites to deal with patient demand, and also specialist nurses, such as those dealing with long term conditions, such as diabetes, asthmas and COPD. It is about developing the team and making sure that we respond to our patients’ needs.
‘My role has a lot of variety as I still go out and do community work, similar to my previous district nurse job, and there is so much to do in Primary Care that is new. I feel I have adapted well so far and have been welcomed into the team.
‘Working here has really opened my eyes to the scope of work that is involved in General Practice Nursing and so coming to St Neots has been a really good move for me, with lots of scope to develop and make a difference to my colleagues and patients.’
